A compelling and hard hitting autobiography of an ex-offender whose violent lifestyle led inevitably to numerous periods of incarceration in the brutal Scottish youth and adult penal institutions.

Raised in an extremely violent environment, Allan Weaver became what pride and adverse circumstances required him to be to survive. Failed and neglected by the system as a child and young man he orchestrated sometimes unspeakable acts of aggression and mayhem in the seaside town where he was brought up. 

Despite the odds however, he escaped this lifestyle, proceeded to University education leading to his current role as a Criminal Justice Social Work Manager working with offenders.

This is a sad, tragic, intriguing and at times even humorous account of a life almost lost but retrieved from the most unlikely of sources.
